Jan has recently started conducting classes in her home studio. Here are the
most recent students and their pet portraits. Jan lives in Massachusetts. If you are interested
in taking pet portrait classes in Jan's studio, please contact her at jan@crazydoglady.com

Weebles quilt

Ja in Texas pleaded with Jan to be her first ever long-distance student. So Jan took on the
challenge and via computer and phone talked Ja through making a portrait of her beloved "Weebles".
Weebles has a neurological problem which makes her wobble, hence the name. Ja did a great job
and was a very quick learner.

at Jan's studio to work on her Ruby quilt.

Jan's American Pit Bull Terrier, Kilo, kept them company.

Diane with her finished quilt          Mercedes, the Pit Bulll
Diane created this portrait of her Pit Bull, Mercedes, in a private class in March 2010 with Jan. She is thrilled
with the wall hanging she created! Now she has another one to do of her other pittie, Lily!!

The three projects pictured below are still "in progress" and photos of final works are still to come!

Kasey the Shih Tzu, quilt in progress
Karen took Jan's class several months ago and created this portrait, still in progress, of her beloved Shih Tzu, Kasey.

Zoey with her pillow

Jayne was a recent student of mine. She decided to try something a bit different and made
an 18" pillow with a portrait of her Dachshund, Zoey, using fabrics that were fun but
didn't necessarily look like her dog. Funky and fun! We had a blast! - Jan.

Nancy holding her Prince quilt

Nancy created this portrait of her daughter's late horse, Prince, as a birthday gift.

Randy holding her Ollie quilt

Randy made this portrait of her sister's horse, Ollie, as a Christmas gift.

Carol Burke's double dog portrait quilt          Carol giving her daughter the quilt
Carol took several classes to create this double dog portrait of her daughter's dogs, as a Xmas gift.
Carol was unable to finish the project, so Jan finished the applique, layered it, quilted it and bound it,
then put the dog's names on it.

The picture to the right shows Carol presenting the quilt to her daughter Lisa at Christmas!

Rita with Jacob the goat's pillow

Rita with her goat Jacob on a pillow. Jacob died 9/3/08 of old age, at 15½. Rita tells Jan
that the longest life of a goat was 16 years. Rita adored Jacob and took him for walks in the woods
with her two dogs. He was very unique, and will be sorely missed.
